Ibrahim عليه السلام-The Friend of Allah (SWT)

Introduction
Few figures stand as tall as Prophet Ibrahim (AS), revered for his unwavering faith, resilience, and devotion to Allah.

His remarkable journey serves as an enduring testament to the power of faith and the boundless mercy of the Almighty.

Early Life and Calling
Prophet Ibrahim (AS) was born into a society steeped in idolatry and polytheism (including his Father).

Despite being raised in such an environment, he was blessed with an innate sense of monotheism and a deep longing for spiritual truth.

From a young age, Ibrahim (AS) questioned the worship of idols and yearned for a deeper connection with the Divine.

His unwavering conviction led him to embark on a quest for truth, ultimately culminating in his divine calling as a prophet of Allah.

Tests of Faith
Prophet Ibrahim (AS) faced numerous trials and tribulations throughout his life, each serving as a test of his unwavering faith and devotion to Allah.

From being thrown into a blazing fire for defying the idolatrous practices of his people…

…to being commanded to sacrifice his beloved son, Isma’il (AS), Ibrahim (AS) never wavered in his obedience to Allah’s (SWT) will.

His willingness to submit to the divine decree (Qadr), even in the face of unimaginable hardship, exemplifies the true essence of faith and servitude.

Legacy and Impact
Prophet Ibrahim’s (AS) legacy extends far beyond his own lifetime, shaping the foundation of monotheistic faith for generations to come.

His unwavering devotion to Allah, coupled with his unparalleled humility and compassion, continues to inspire Muslims, Christians, and Jews around the world today.

From the sacred rituals of Hajj to the foundational principles of Islamic monotheism, Ibrahim’s (AS) teachings and example serve as a guiding light for believers seeking spiritual enlightenment and guidance.

Lesson to Learn

At the heart of Prophet Ibrahim’s (AS) story lies the lesson of surrender – the willingness to submit wholeheartedly to the divine will (Qadr).

Time and again, Ibrahim (AS) demonstrated his unwavering obedience to Allah, exemplifying the essence of true faith.

Through Ibrahim’s (AS) example, we learn that true surrender entails letting go of our attachments and desires, placing our complete trust in Allah’s wisdom and mercy.

It requires us to relinquish control and embrace the divine decree, even when it challenges our deepest convictions and desires.

Surah 3 Ali ‘Imran, Ayat 67

(3:67) Abraham was neither a Jew nor a Christian; he was a Muslim, wholly devoted to God. And he certainly was not amongst those who associate others with Allah in His divinity.
